Lovely lifted Chardonnay aromatics of stone fruit and citrus dominate the nose at this early stage. The palate shows nectarine, lime, lemon and subtle cherry fruits from the Pinot Noir addition.
A nice cross section of fruit flavours, fresh acidity and hints of savoury complexity.
The 2016 Chardonnay has a nice balance of fine fruit flavours and tight structure, very much in line with the new wave of modern Australian Chardonnays.
This fruit driven Chenin Blanc has appeal from the day it was released. Although fruity, the palate has some lovely texture and savoury notes as a result of the wild ferment and lees work.
